The game is loosely based on the 1995 film Judge Dredd, which was a spin off from the Judge Dredd strip from 2000AD. Death is a first-person shooter video game based on the Judge Dredd character from the 2000 AD comic series, developed by Rebellion Developments. It was not critically well received.1 Later in 1987, UK publisher Pirannah were to release Judge Death on the ZX Spectrum. In 1987, Beam Software developed the first Judge Dredd video game, published by Melbourne House in the UK. Several video games have been produced, based on Judge Dredd.
